MDP Associate Director, Dr. Carla Roncoli was one of 110 invited participants - from more than 30 countries - in an international workshop on “Scaling Up Climate Services for Farmers in Africa and South Asia”, held on 10-12 December, 2012 in Saly, Senegal. The workshop was organized by the CGIAR program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Climate Services Partnership (CSP). The event was aimed to foster South-South learning and collaboration between sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, to strengthen and scale-up climate information and advisory services to assist smallholder farmers to adapt to climate change.
