Emory Homecoming & 2O36 Campaign Launch for LGS a Success

During Emory Homecoming and the 2036 Campaign Launch events, students, alumni, faculty, and staff were invited to hear from university leadership about their vision for the future. A world of possibilities was shared, centered around the school and unit priorities and rooted in the aspirations and work of Emory students, faculty, and researchers.

The Quad was at the heart of the campaign reveal. Guests experienced the 2O36 dome exhibits and enjoyed a fantastic afternoon that included live podcast tapings, complimentary Varsity hot dogs, King of Pops, Coca-Cola products, and 2O36 swag. We hope you had a chance to come out and experience it! Watch a fun recap video here.

On Friday, Oct. 22, LGS Dean Kimberly Jacob Arriola spoke with excitement about graduate education as the crown jewel of the American education system. Arriola shared how LGS students are present in nearly every area of research at Emory, working with esteemed faculty in the collaborating schools to solve the complex problems of our time and advance the global good. She also discussed the changing tide in graduate education, and how building our endowment is vital to cultivate untapped opportunities, such as increased global orientation among students, more inclusive educational environments, and additional career planning in a competitive, ever-changing job market.
