Emory University’s graduate and professional schools are among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 “Best Graduate Schools” guide, which was released earlier this month.
Each year, U.S. News ranks professional schools and programs in business, education, law, engineering, medicine, and nursing. The rankings in these areas are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research, students, and postgraduate outcomes for them.

Last Chance: The April 15 Tax Deadline is Approaching
Emory’s International Student and Scholars (ISSS) and the Emory tax office provides several resources to help international students and scholars file their taxes before the Tuesday, April 15 deadline:
- ISSS Taxes webpage: While ISSS staff are not tax experts, they have created a dedicated webpage with helpful information.
- Tax Preparation Software: Emory offers access to Sprintax, a tax preparation software for international students and scholars.
- If you can’t file before April 15, you can apply for a six-month extension by completing Form 4868: Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File US Individual Income Tax Return” on our before 4/15. If you have further questions, please contact Sprintax.

Elections for the 2025–2026 Laney Graduate Student Council (LGSC) started at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, and run through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.
Ballots submitted after the deadline will not be counted.

Are you looking for innovative and practical guidance on creating accessible events? The Department of Accessibility Services is hosting an interactive Enhancing Accessibility at Emory Events workshop.
Facilitated by Joelle Butler, Associate Director of the Department of Accessibility Services, the following topics will be discussed:
- Identifying common disability & accessibility barriers in event planning
- Best practices in preparing for an event to promote accessibility for all attendees
- Campus partners or vendors to engage to assist in planning for an accessible event
- Day-of-event strategies for addressing unexpected accessibility challenges

Piedmont TATTO Fellowship on Sustainability and Curriculum Development
Piedmont TATTO Fellowship is accepting applications for graduate students in all disciplines. Through this fellowship, students will have the opportunity to expand their teaching repertoire around sustainability, environmental, and social justice issues.
This one-day workshop offers fellows the opportunity to:
- Learn from campus experts
- Explore engaged learning opportunities
- Experience creative teaching strategies
- Develop teaching materials.
Stipend: $500 upon completion and approval of a syllabus and attendance at an end-of-summer field trip.

Fox Center Humanities Pathways Fellowship
This fellowship is intended to provide a graduate student in the humanities or humanistic social sciences a pathway into academic careers beyond the tenure track. The selected fellow will gain a broad range of professional experience by collaborating with our staff team, including in the areas of program management, event design, budget management, research and assessment, and communications. Students with a strong interest in alternative academic careers are especially encouraged to apply. The fellow will have a desk at the Center and is expected to work primarily in person. Occasional evening work (1-2 times per month) is expected as part of supporting the Center’s events program.
Work schedule: 20 hours/week
