SciPhD is back by popular demand! This webinar series trains graduate students in STEM fields with the skills necessary to pursue industry careers and beyond. Deadline Approaching! Winter 2021 Data Incubator Data Science Fellowship Application

The Data Incubator is an intensive eight-week fellowship that prepares masters and doctoral students, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields for industry careers as data scientists. The Winter 2021 session starts on January 11, 2021.

Tung will discuss her work linking fitness-related behavior, life history, and environmental variation with relevant outcomes on an evolutionary timescale, using tools from genomics and social mammals as the focal system.

New! Work Opportunity: Science Communications Associate

The Chemistry Department seeks a graduate student worker for the 2020-2021 school year. The Science Communications Associate will help develop communications for the department, including blog posts and social media. Candidates do not need to pursue a science degree; however, an interest in science is a bonus. Candidates must be strong writers/editors. The position is part-time at $15/hour.

Appointments Available ! One-on-One Career Coaching
Graduate Students are invited to sign up for one-on-one career coaching with LGS career coaches.

Laney Graduate Writing Group

Join the weekly graduate student writing group to keep yourself accountable, make progress, and obtain feedback on your projects.

 

For the first hour, you will write for two 25-minute intervals using the Pomodoro technique. In the second hour, you will have the opportunity to receive feedback on your writing, via Zoom, with a member of either the Emory Writing Center or the English Language Support Program (ELSP).

Zoom Class Engagement Workshop Series

The CFDE is offering a Workshop Series on “Zoom Class Engagement” that provides extra support for instructors and TAs who are planning engaging learning activities in Zoom class settings. One-on-one feedback on existing teaching projects will be available to attendees. Participants should come with an idea in mind and a class session to work on developing. 

 

Workshops in the series are offered twice at various times/dates.
