Industry Series: Professional Development in the Current Environment

Emory’s Office of Alumni & Constituent Programs will be hosting five industry-specific sessions with topics that include: Healthcare, Politics, General Recruiting Tips and Tech, Consulting, and Government. The series explores ways to navigate transitioning into the professional world in the times of COVID-19.

Giving Presentations in an Online Environment

In this virtual workshop, you will learn how to use your voice to keep your audience alert and focused, how to create slides that help your audience follow you, and how to use specific language to discuss your visuals (graphs, charts, images,) with clarity and purpose. You are invited to work on a portion of a current or past presentation during the workshop, so come with some slides (If you do not have a presentation to practice with, one will be provided).

Post Doctoral Fellowship Award: The James S. McDonnel Foundation

This award provides students in the final stages of completing a PhD more freedom in identifying and securing postdoctoral training opportunities aligned with the student's interest and desire to obtain additional skills and experience that will further their pursuit of careers in complex systems science. CIRTL  Summer Offerings 

CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes , and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy.
