New! Data Incubator Fall 2020 Data Science Fellowship Application

The Data Incubator is an intensive eight-week fellowship that prepares masters and doctoral students, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields for industry careers as data scientists.

This workshop covers key topics in technical writing such as reporting on central tendencies and analysis of data, designing and communicating the design of research studies, translating technical information for different audiences, data visualization and how to think with visuals, preparing different types of research and planning documents, and the basics of scientific storytelling and is intended for graduate students at Emory University who are interested in learning new technical writing skills and serving as Teaching Assistants for the QTM Technical Writing Class.

New! Postdoctoral Training Opportunity in Informatics, Genomics, Machine Learning, and Biomedical Data Science at Boston Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School

The Computational Health Informatics Program (CHIP) at Boston Children’s Hospital hosts a training program for postdoctoral fellows to be trained in Informatics, Genomics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomedical Data Science. The objective of the training program is to offer postdoctoral fellows a sophisticated, scientific environment with multidisciplinary expertise encompassing epigenetics and cancer. The program provides trainees with the ideal platform for successful careers as scientists, physicians, scientific administrators, and entrepreneurs who will identify novel agents and devices to treat cancer.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is currently accepting applications for the CPRIT TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Translational Cancer Research. This three-year fellowship provides basic, translational, and clinical training and aims to further develop talented PhD or MD/PhDs into successful clinical/translational research scientists.

Online Information Sessions for the Emory Advanced Graduate Teaching Fellowship (AGTF) for the 2020-2021 Academic Year

The Emory Advanced Graduate Teaching Fellowship (AGTF) is a 10-month fellowship program co-led by a small group of faculty with complementary expertise in the areas of pedagogical innovation, curricular reform, evidenced based-teaching practices, and active learning. The program provides a training framework in the form of an end-of-summer STEM teaching workshop and a newly designed, interdisciplinary one credit-hour pedagogical seminar course. Graduate Fellows will use the spring semester to develop and implement a small but novel pedagogical project relevant to their specific discipline.

CIRTL  Summer Offerings 

CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) will be running courses, a MOOC, teaching institutes , and online teaching office hours this summer, each designed to dig into specific aspects of inclusive, effective, evidence-based STEM pedagogy.
