Biography

Rachael Porter is a Ph.D. student in the Global Health and Development program, in the Laney Graduate School of Emory University. She has an MPH in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. She also has a B.S. in Bioengineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Her research interests include vaccine program development, implementation, and vaccine policy, locally and globally. She is also interested in utilizing behavior change theory to better understand vaccine hesitancy and refusal, and its relationship to equity. She aims to examine the 'how' and 'why' of sustained vaccine programs, and employ mixed methods and implementation science frameworks to develop and implement sustainable and equitably vaccine delivery programs.
