Dr. Harriet Diana Musoke is a Senior Principal Lecturer at the Law Development Centre the only post graduate institution offering legal practical skills training in Uganda. She is also a Senior Lecturer at the Islamic University in Uganda. She lectures in family law, human rights, women’s rights and health law in particular reproductive and sexual health and rights. Harriet gained her LLB from Makerere University, Uganda, LLM (with Distinction) from Georgetown University and her SJD from Emory University School of Law. Her research area was on how reproductive and sexual rights as conceived by the international community can be Africanized in order to ensure that all women in Africa enjoy the exercise of these rights. Harriet practices law in Uganda and her area of interest is family law, children’s issues, women’s issues and human rights concerns. She is on a number of boards including the editorial board of the Uganda Living Law Journal and a member of the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. She is a former President of the Uganda Law Society. She is a member of the Uganda Law Society, Uganda Association of Women Lawyers and the East African Law Society.
Harriet has published a number of academic articles and presented a number of papers. Her research interests are mainly in reproduction, sexuality, children and human rights
