Weiling Wang is a PhD candidate at Law School of Shandong University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2008. She received her Master’s degree in civil law from Shandong University in 2011. She published Case Comment— the Determination of the Liability of Spirit Damage and the Standard of Indemnity (2010)and The Collection of Classic Civil Cases— the Volume of Cases on Real Estate and Construction Project (2013).
From 2012 to 2013, Weiling did research in Elder Law. By investigating the Durable Power of Attorney (DPA) in the United States and Britain, she suggested the alternative application of DPA in China. With the research paper “The Comparison between the Supervision of the Durable Power of Attorney (DPA) in the United States and Britain”, Weiling received the award from the Graduate Student Forum in Shandong University.
While at Emory, Weiling studied the development and the impact of Martha’s feminist theory on the legislation and judiciary of the US and intends to introduce the theory to China.
