Fang GAO is a Ph.D. candidate in civil law at the East China University of political science and law, P.R China. She holds a master's degree in legal history and has published several articles in academic journals that take a closer look at the law and society. Now Fang GAO’s research mainly focuses on family law, elder law, feminism law, and civil law. Her research interests include vulnerability, feminism, relational autonomy, divorce remedy, and children protection. As a Visiting Scholar with the Vulnerability and the Human Condition Initiative, Fang intends to use vulnerability theory to her research and to further explore vulnerability theory within a socio-legal context.
