Dhanishka is an Attorney-at-Law and PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham, UK. After completing her LLM at the University of Cambridge, Dhanishka was awarded funding by the Midlands Graduate School ESRC DTP to conduct her doctoral studies. Her research focuses on reproductive rights and disability rights in the scope of abortions on the grounds of foetal anomaly. She uses vulnerability theory and relationality as frameworks for observing the impact of the responsive state on the regulation of abortions in the context of foetal anomaly in the US and UK.
