Visiting Scholars
Our Visiting Scholars Program hosts scholars and graduate students from around the world. Visiting Scholar residence ranges from a week to a year or more. Recent scholar biographies and interviews are available on the Visiting Scholars tabs to the left.
Visiting Scholars are provided with a shared office and library privileges, as well as access to Emory’s vibrant community of scholars and other resources, including those of the Feminism and Legal Theory archive.
Visiting Scholar Application Process
To apply to be a Visiting Scholar send your application materials via email as a Microsoft Word or PDF attachment to Emily Hlavaty (emily.hlavaty@emory.edu).
Application Material Requirements:
- Statement of Purpose
Please indicate the dates you wish to be a Visiting Scholar and include a description of your current research project along with an indication of how you think you will benefit from residence at Emory. - CV/Resume
- Funding Explanation
Please indicate if you are seeking funding from the Visiting Scholars Program. Most scholars are funded by their own institutions, but some limited funds are available if that is not possible.
