MARINANGELES GUTiERREZ
Assistant Policy Lead, ICF International
As a bilingual professional for the last decade, Marinangeles has transitioned from the hospitality industry to advertising and, finally, to community development. After completing her Master’s in Development Practice degree in 2018, Marinangeles begun working in disaster management, with a particular focus on climate-induced migration. She currently works at the global consulting firm ICF International, where she concentrates on disaster mitigation, collaborating with U.S. state and local governments to navigate the rules and regulations necessary to execute federally funded programs. Presently deployed in Puerto Rico, Marinangeles is contributing to the launch of a multi-sector disaster recovery program with the Department of Housing. She's also making the most of her time on the beautiful island, adventuring in the wilds and dancing to salsa bands.
